Interested in redirecting your customers to another landing page, maybe to check out your newly updated website, or to send out links to your new book listing? It's easy to add a link to a message template in Chatavise.

Before you can add a link to a message template, you must first create the link within Chatavise. If you need help with how to create your own link, check out our Quick Guide to Links here. Otherwise, to get started, head to the Templates page from the Marketing dropdown.

You can always edit a message template to include a link by clicking on the pencil edit icon beside the relevant message template.

This time, however, I'll go over what this looks like when creating a new message template. Click on the New Template button at the top right of the screen.

Give your template a name and write in what you'd like this message to say.

Links can now be added in to any portion of a message template! Variables are listed in alphabetical order, and variables with links will be listed as #link-(link)-(name). For example, my link listed as Preparation Page will be listed as the variable #link-preparation-page.

As of right now, variables will insert themselves at the end of the message template when added. This does not mean that they can only go at the end of the message. If you'd like the link to be in the middle of the message, you have two options: type up to where you need to insert the link, insert it, then type the rest of the message, or you can copy/paste the variable where in the message you'd like it to be.

Click on the listed variable to add it to the message template. Once you've set up the message template exactly as you'd like it, click on the Save button to save your progress.
