Links have many uses across the Chatavise platform! Whether you're trying to connect your contacts with your new website, or maybe redirecting them to your Calendly page, it's a good idea to get acquainted with how to create new links and how to attach them to messages and message templates.
To make your own link, head to the Links page from the Marketing dropdown menu.
Here you'll see a list of all the links created in your account. Click on the New Link button at the top right of the page to create your own.
Give your link an easily recognizable name so that you can find it in the lineup. For example, if you're trying to reroute customers to a page on your website on how to prepare before a service is performed, you can name this "Preparation Page" or "Service Preparation".
Next, grab a copy of the website you'd like to make a link for and paste it into the External Link section of the New Link popup.
You have the option to create a custom vanity links for your link redirects. Vanity links will take jumbled auto-generated site URL's and turn them into URL's that give you a better understanding of what you're about to click on.
For example, before adding in a vanity link, a link may look something like https://l.chatavise.co/w5gyRO48q. Vanity links give you the opportunity to change this to something like https://l.chatavise.co/ServicePreparationPage.
In this day and age, it's best to do what we can to ensure our client-base that we are sending out legitimate links. Vanity links aren't a requirement, but they may help you get with getting more clicks!
If you'd like to add a vanity link, add just what you want the end of the URL to be. For example, if you'd like this link to show https://l.chatavise.co/b/ServicePreparationPage, just type ServicePreparationPage in the vanity URL textbox. What to add breaks between the words, such as a dash or a plus? Experiment and see what sort of vanity URL suits you best!
Double-check that everything with your new link looks correct, and hit the Add Link button.
You'll be taken back to the main Links page where your newly-created link will populate.
If you'd like to make any changes to your new link, or would like to see some interaction statistics, click on the pencil edit icon beside the link.
Here you can see how many people have received this link vs how many people have interacted with it.
If you'd like to download a QR code that redirects to this link, you can download this code from this page.
You'll also be able to keep track of how many people choose to scan this QR code.
When you start collecting scans and clicks on this link, you'll see a list of contacts that have interacted at the bottom of the page.
You can change the link listing name (ie. Preparation Page) as well as the actual URL the link reroutes to at any time from this page. If you make any changes to either of these, make sure to hit the Update button when you're done to save the changes.
