The Chatavise mobile app makes it easy to place business calls directly from your device while displaying your Chatavise business phone number. In this guide, you’ll learn how to access the Calls feature, link your mobile number, make outbound calls, and manage your call logs.




Navigating to the Calls Feature

When you open the Chatavise mobile app:

  • Start on the Chats screen.

  • Tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines).

  • Select Calls from the menu.

The Calls screen includes three tabs:

  1. Dial Pad – For making outbound calls.

  2. Linked Numbers – Where you connect your personal mobile device.

  3. Call Log – View your call history.


Setting Up Linked Numbers

Before you can make calls from your business number:

  • Go to the Linked Numbers tab.

  • Tap the plus (+) icon to add your personal mobile number.

  • You will receive a verification text message with a code.

  • Enter the verification code to confirm your linked device.

Why this is important:
Chatavise uses a call forwarding system similar to Google Voice. When you make calls, they are routed through your personal phone but display your Chatavise business number to the recipient.

You can also add multiple mobile numbers if you use more than one device.


Using the Dial Pad to Make Calls

On the Dial Pad screen:

  • At the top, select your Chatavise business phone number.
    If you have multiple phone lines, tap to select the one you want to use.

  • Dial the recipient’s phone number.

  • Tap the Call button.

Once initiated:

  • The app will trigger your phone’s native dialer to place the call through a dedicated Chatavise forwarding line.

  • The recipient will see your Chatavise business number on their caller ID.

  • Follow the on-screen prompt to complete the call.

Tip:
If you dial the wrong number, use the delete button on the dial pad to correct it.


Using the Call Log

The Call Log tab stores your call history.

  • You can redial previous contacts directly from this screen.


Calling from the Chat Screen

You can also place a call directly from the Chats screen:

  • Select the contact you wish to call.

  • Tap the Call icon next to their name.

  • Their phone number will auto-populate in the dial pad.

  • Select your preferred phone line and initiate the call.

  • This will direct you to the Chatavise Freshdesk help center.

  • From there, you can submit a support ticket by providing your email and a brief description of your issue.
