Managing message templates in Chatavise is simple and powerful—especially when you're looking to save time and create consistent messaging across your team. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to create, edit, favorite, and manage templates, and even how to use AI to write messages for you.
Accessing the Message Templates Page
To get started, navigate to the Marketing section and select Message Templates. From here, you'll be able to:
Search through existing templates
Add a new message template
Edit or delete existing templates
Mark templates as global or location-specific
Creating a New Template
To add a new template:
Click “Add Template.”
Give your template a name (e.g., Test Template).
Enter your message text manually or click "Ask Kelli" to use our AI assistant. For example, if you need a review invite after a job is completed, just ask Kelli and she’ll generate a message for you.
Add any necessary links like your review invite URL.
Optionally, upload an image. Make sure the image is under 1MB since it will be sent via SMS.
Click Save.
Using Templates in Chats
Favorited templates will show up directly in your Chats page, making them quickly accessible during conversations. You can toggle the star icon to favorite or unfavorite a template as needed.
To test this:
Favorite a template
Go to the Chats page
Look for your favorited templates and click to use them
If removed from favorites, they will no longer appear in the quick-access list
Editing & Managing Templates
When editing a template, you can:
Rename the template
Modify the message body
Re-upload an image
Toggle between Global and Location-specific
Global Templates: Accessible across all locations in your Chatavise account
Location-specific Templates: Only visible to users assigned to a specific location
You’ll also find a useful Activity Log, showing changes made by your team so you can track edits over time.
